Charles Barkley Just Ripped Cancel Culture To Pieces!

NBA icon Charles Barkley recently lashed out at the cancel culture that has become increasingly prevalent within society today. He recently was ordered not to joke about the weight of the women from San Antonio any longer.

Barkley angrily described this order from TNT while he was a guest on the “Grant and Danny” show on 106.7 The Fan.

“The PC people have come out now, and boy, are they ever overboard right now!” Barkley said on the radio show. “You can’t even have any fun at all nowadays without these jackasses trying to get you canceled and stuff like that.”

The legendary basketball player has long been known not just for his shooting prowess, but also for making jabs at what he calls the “big ass” women of San Antonio, where he used to frequently play as a visitor while a member of the Phoenix Suns basketball team. He said that some of his bosses were cowards for not defending the fact that he was merely joking around.

“They are not even going to let me talk about San Antonio anymore!” Barkley exclaimed. “You know, when I’m always talkin’ about them big ol’ women of San Antonio? They’re like, ‘Charles, we got a lady who wrote an article.’ I’m like, first of all, I didn’t personally call anybody fat in San Antonio. I was just joking around and when this one lady wrote this article, I’m like so y’all are going to let this one woman, we’ve been having fun with this for just about 10, 15 years!” he added. The article was written by Madalyn Mendoza and calls out that network for allowing Barkley to talk about women in San Antonio like that and “fat shame” them.

However, Sir Charles wasn’t done yet. He also said that he only plans to work as a sports commentator for another two years.

“I’m trying to hang on for just another two years and then the folks at TNT can kiss my ass,” Barkely said.

“I’m only going to work until I’m 60,” he continued. “I’ve already told ’em that. I’m not going to work until the day I die. I’m going to enjoy my retirement. If I don’t have enough money by now, I’m kind of an idiot anyway, so they probably should fire me anyhow.

This isn’t the first time that Barkley has stirred some controversy in the past. He also has gotten people upset because he has insisted on going against the politically correct agenda on many different issues. In 2020, he defended athletes who had refused to join with the kneeling protests in support of Black Lives Matter. Later that year, the man mocked and derided the “Defund the Police” movement as an extreme, out-of-touch movement.

“I’m like, wait a minute, who are black people supposed to call? Ghostbusters?” he interjected.

What do you think about cancel culture going after Charles Barkley now?
