It looks like Dr. Fauci is now responding to the controversy surrounding his emails, and to make a long story short, the good doctor is whining about how god-fearing patriots have exposed the real truth regarding COVID-19. Instead of admitting his mistake, the good doctor is instead denouncing those who criticized his job performance and those who criticized his decisions related to the pandemic. He is saying that criticizing the work that he has done is nothing more than “anti-science.”
BuzzFeed News has published more than 3,000 of Fauci’s emails, and most of them reveal what Senator Rand Paul calls “a disturbing picture of Dr. Fauci, from the very beginning.” However, supporters of Dr. Fauci are calling this a big nothing burger, and that there’s no “there there.”
Just What Did Fauci Say?
When Dr. Fauci spoke with MSNBC personality Rachel Maddow, Fauci claimed that the criticism of him was nothing more than a manifestation of anti-science attitudes.
“What this thread is going through, what’s happening now, all of this is very much an anti-science approach,” Fauci said. “Of course, it is what it is. I am a public figure. I’m going to take all of the swings and all of the arrows, but all of this is fabricated.”
“I only had one job, and that was to make a vaccine. I needed to use my institute and our talented scientists that we have here in order to do that. We also wanted to fund the various universities to try to get a vaccine that is highly safe and highly effective. We succeeded, and that’s what I do,” Fauci said. “All of this other stuff is just a terrible non-happy type of distraction. But all of it’s just nonsense.”
Of course, Maddow made no effort to remain impartial at all during this interview. She merely added fuel to the fire by claiming that “the right” continues to exploit the discovery of the origin of COVID-19 and they are hyping up the Wuhan lab leak theory as just another “conspiracy theory” as she called it. For her, it is merely an avenue for conservatives to attack Dr. Fauci.
Fauci agreed with Maddow’s assessment.
“Yes, it is important to understand the origin of COVID-19, but it is also important to approach it in a vehement way, a way that is designed to distort, and that is way they are doing it, I believe, by attacking me,” the Propaganda Minister, er, the White House Physician Dr. Fauci said.
“Yes, I think that this question is extremely legitimate, and you should want to know how this happened so that it won’t happen again,” he continued. “But what’s happened in the middle of all that, is that I became the object of extraordinary, I believe, distorted, and completely inappropriate, misrepresented and misleading attacks, and it is what it is, but it’s happening, and that’s unfortunate.”
All the while, Dr. Anthony Fauci has a ridiculous response to being criticized, saying that it’s nothing more than “an attack on science.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that Dr. Fauci has used this degrading argument. He also spoke with MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace, saying that his critics shouldn’t denounce his wavering positions because “science is a dynamic process.” Well, apparently, so is Democrat politics, but I digress. If a politician has a “D” after their name, it is whichever way the wind blows, my friend, whichever way the wind blows….
