You’ve just got to handle it to former President Donald Trump. He just has a way of putting things that are short, sweet, and to the point. Take his recent speaking engagement at the North Carolina Republican state convention in Greenville.
In regards to a country that allowed the coronavirus to erupt in secret and then wait until the virus outgrew their attempts to handle it before they admitted the truth, Trump only had THREE words to say: “China must pay.” Let those words resound just like a thunderbolt or like the concluding gavel from a judge. “China must pay.” Put that in your pipe and smoke it. But Trump wasn’t finished yet.
He also said that the GOP needs to fight to “protect, promote and lift up the American worker.” The only way to do that, Trump said, was to keep “standing up to the communist regime of China.”
“Last year, China inflicted an estimated $16 trillion of economic damage against the United States with a virus that I am calling the China Virus because I want to be accurate, that claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens. Look at the world. Look at what happened to the world. It isn’t just us. It’s the world,” he said.
“If we hadn’t come up with a vaccine, you would have had 1917 Spanish Flu numbers. They lost, they say, as many as 100 million people. You would have had those kinds of numbers. You would have had numbers that are just unthinkable,” he said. (NOTE: The National Archives States that the global death toll of the Spanish Flu was around 50 million.)
President Trump also noted that, “The Democrats, the media, and the so-called experts are now finally warming up to the conclusion that I first came up with 13 months ago, that the evidence fully demonstrates that the virus originated. Trump continued by saying that China had not been published for these issues, and it was long overdue.
“The time has now come for America and the rest of the world to demand accountability and reparations from the Communist Party of China,” he said. “We should declare with one unified voice that China must pay. They need to pay. They must pay.”
In a nutshell, Trump basically said that China should feel such strong economic repercussions that they never want to do this ever again.
“The United States needs to immediately take some steps to impose a 100 percent tariff on all of the goods made in China. We all can see what they said was happening with our tariffs, so we should stop the Democrats from fighting our tariffs, Oh, we don’t….Well, he hasn’t taken those tariffs off. He doesn’t want to. Dollars that are in the billions and billions; 25 percent tariffs on China,” Trump said, referring to President Biden’s activities in keeping tariffs imposed on China.
“In addition, all nations need to work together and present China with a bill that will be a minimum of $10 trillion dollars in order to compensate for all the damage that they have caused.”
“That’s actually a very low number for China. The damage that China has placed on us and other countries is actually far, far greater than that. One of the first steps should be for all countries that owe a debt to China to collectively cancel it as a down payment on the reparations. The nations of the world should no longer be obligated to pay any money to China. China has destroyed so many nations,” Trump said.
“I mean, we did come out better than anybody. Our economy’s stronger now than any other nation. Nobody’s recovered like us because of what we’ve done, because we laid a great economic foundation, and because of what we’ve done with a vaccine and also what we’ve done with the distribution of that vaccine. But China should owe money to the nations of the world. They’ve been destroyed. These nations have been destroyed,” Trump said.
Trump then began discussing the relationship between Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, and U.S. foreign policy on China.
“Sadly, we have a Biden Administration that is very timid and, frankly, corrupt when you look at all of the money that they’ve been given as a family by Communist China. That means that instead of holding China accountable, the Biden administration is just trying to shut down the U.S. government’s investigation into the origins of the virus shortly after taking office. What’s going on?” Trump said.
Last May, Fox News announced that the Biden Administration had closed down a Trump-era investigation into how the coronavirus had originated. Biden has since asked the United States’ various intelligence agencies to provide an updated report on the subject. Ideally, it should be something that U.S. senators from both parties can hear and consider.
Last year, there were several news reports that revealed that Hunter Biden had a tremendous amount of business ties to China, and this even included links to Communist Party members. Are the Bidens going to hold China accountable? I wouldn’t hold my breath.
