The Liberal Paper Trail Has Been REVEALED And Its Much Darker Than We Thought!

There are now some newly-released records that show that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has some serious explaining to do. Apparently, he has been connected to a left-wing dark money group that is an arm of a well-known PAC.

Reporting by Axios is telling us the following: “Majority Forward is a nonprofit arm of the Senate Majority PAC, which is a high-dollar super PAC that is well-known to Senate Democrats. There are some newly-released tax records that show that Majority Forward gave $2.6 million in 2018 to another nonprofit organization called the Coalition For a Safe and Secure America (CSSA).”

The plot thickens when you consider that the Coalition For a Safe and Secure America spent that money on direct mail and digital advertising campaigns in order to attack GOP candidates in competitive Senate races in the 2018 midterm elections. Interestingly enough, the PAC didn’t attack these candidates from the left. Instead, they attacked them from the right. Yes, you read that right. A group affiliated with Chuck Schumer was not only attacking GOP candidates, but they were accusing them of caving on key conservative issues.

Some examples of this would include the following:

-Nevada’s Senator Heller was allowed “almost 2,000 foreign workers to have a backdoor entry into our country,” according to one ad.

-Missouri’s Hawley was charged by the group with “siding with Washington liberals against the gun owners.”

-They have dubbed the former Indiana State Representative Mike Braun as “tax-hike-Mike Braun.”

-They ran an ad against Rosendale, who was then a GOP candidate for the Senate in Montana, and they accused him of “supporting drone monitoring.”

These attacks are all well and good, but they are not coming from true-blue conservatives such as Ted Cruz or Rand Paul. No, they are actually coming from a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

No, these ads actually came out after the GOP primaries had concluded and they were simply an effort by Schumer and the rest of the dirty Democrats to depress voter turnout or possibly encourage voters to go with third-party candidates, which would ultimately give Democrats an edge in those races.

Of course, the biggest problem with this is that we are just now finding out about it now, years after the fact.

Axios makes a good point on this. According to them, the reason for this is because there laws that “allow nonprofits the ability to engage in limited political activity and it permitted Majority Forward the ability to finance these ads in a way that it would make it impossible to trace where the money was coming from unti years after the fact.”

The Coalition For a Safe and Secure America is now facing an IRS complaint over this issue and their actions from a group called Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. This group is claiming that CSSA was illicit in concealing this political activity in their annual tax filings.

This claim could be true, but when you consider the fact that this dark money group recently acknowledged that it had omitted legally required disclosures from these direct mail pieces in 2018 the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics might have a legitimate beef.

WIll the Coalition for a Safe and Secure America be held accountable for their actions? Probably not. If they were a Republican group, probably so. They probably would be held accountable for their actions. However, we are dealing with Democrats here, and they are never held accountable for anything.

What do you think about this group posing as a GOP sympathizer in order to influence elections in these states? Feel free to comment on this issue.
