Florida Senator Just Ripped Biden A New One!

Does it seem to you that Joe Biden seems unwilling to take on the border crisis? Well, in answer to that question let me give you a few more questions: do cats like milk? Do babies cry? In short, the answer to that question is that it is blatantly obvious that President Biden doesn’t seem to want to do anything regarding this issue. Moreover, there are many Republicans on Capitol Hill that are getting annoyed with the Biden team’s lack of action regarding the border issue, and they aren’t the only ones. Authorities who work at the border are also frustrated with this administration.

The foreign traveler surge seems to continue unabated. It seems like the Biden team is not really even making a halfhearted effort to stem the tide. Oh well, I guess in the words of his press secretary, Jen Psaki, he’ll just have to “circle back” to it, but I digress. Unfortunately, Biden is bolstered by Democrat leaders who continue to insist that the problem is being exaggerated by the GOP.

The good news is that there is one Florida Republican who is fed up, and he is saying that he has had enough.

Senator Rick Scott is drawing a line in the sand for President Biden, and he is warning him that if he doesn’t start dealing with the border problems, he is going to respond to the president.

Up until this point, most Americans have not seen either President Biden or Vice President Harris at the border. As a matter of fact, border officials say that neither President Biden or Vice President Harris have been there since the issue began. Why not? The presidency, and all of the accompanying issues, are their baby now, and they have to take care of it.

Of course, the Biden-Harris Administration has a long way to go. As of right now, they are not even at the point where they want to call the issues at the southern border a “crisis.” Mercy, this is one heck of a thing to be getting politically correct about! Are we missing President Trump yet?

On the other hand, as far as Senator Scott and the other Republicans are concerned, the word “crisis” is about the only way to describe this situation at the U.S.-Mexican border.

From Fox News:

Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott announced Thursday he will slow up all Homeland Security nominations until President Biden makes a trip to the southern border.

In a committee hearing, Scott said his decision was not a reflection of their qualifications but a show of protest to the White House’s refusal to refer to the surge of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border as a ‘crisis.’

It’s important to note that Senator Scott is taking baby steps here. He wasn’t asking President Biden to take any specific action; he simply wants to start by hopefully seeing the President at least show some more interest. He will “hopefully take more action” after that.

In all honesty, Scott’s warning will not have any impact on President Biden’s current nominations, such as John Tien for Deputy Secretary, Robert Silvers for Undersecretary for Strategy, Policy, and Plans, or Jonathan Meyer for General Council. However, Republicans can and will slow up the approval process.

Even if the nominations still go through, kudos to the GOP for making a strong statement. They are not going to stop calling out the Biden Administration for being soft on the U.S.-Mexican border situation.

As Florida Senator Rick Scott said in a statement:

“The policies that Biden and Harris have attempted to implement are just endangering our brave Border Patrol agents and other Americans on the frontlines of not just our U.S.-Mexican border, but throughout the whole entire nation as well. If Biden refuses to help those who continue to risk their lives day in and day out and put an end to this humanitarian crisis that his administration has recklessly started, then I cannot allow his nominees to assume their offices in an expedited fashion.”

Technically, VP Harris is in charge of looking at the “root causes” that would have contributed to this hideous border surge. However, she continues to be missing in action, and there are very few deterrents to the migrant flow problem in the United States.

This is one of the main reasons why a growing number of Americans view the border crisis as the biggest problem our country is facing today. Millions want answers, and they want someone that will take action.

Florida Senator Rick Scott is not asking for much. Like the rest of America, he just wants to see some action from this administration.

What do you think about how the Biden Administration seems to be asleep at the wheel regarding the border crisis? Feel free to comment on this important issue!
