The Obama Administration made several changes to the Former Presidents Protection Act, and in an ironic twist of fate, the Democrats (!) are now incredibly livid about how Obama revised it. Under Obama’s revision that he signed in 2012, there were several limitations on the length of Secret Service protection for former Presidents, their spouses, and their children that were eliminated. He allowed for “former Presidents and their spouses to have lifetime protection, except that the protection of a spouse would terminate in the event they remarried; moreover, children of a former President who are under the age of 16.”
However, before President Trump left office, he expanded that protection to his ADULT children, their spouses, and several other high-ranking members of his administration for an additional six months. This all begs the question: why would the man want to do something like that? Well, you tell me! Seriously, it’s not like prominent members of the Democrat party haven’t been mobbing him left and right and even urging their followers to do the same now is it? (are you reading this, Maxine Waters?)
Seriously, there couldn’t possibly be a justification for Trump to extend protection to his ADULT children. It’s not like foreign governments are sending spies out after them or placing fatwas on them, now is it?
Let’s take a look at an article on express.co.uk. There was a photo of Ivanka with husband Jared Kushner, and one of the comments read: “Prepare to have your coffins ready.” There was a user alongside some emojis of Iranian flags who said: “We are going to explode many American targets worldwide, we are going to do it even in your country.” Another user had the chutzpah to write: ”This is the last picture of you that your father is alive. Prepare yourself for mourning.”
Many of the other threatening comments are written in Persian and mention Qassem Soleimani.”
According to the Washington Examiner, President Trump and his son, Donald Trump, Jr., were number one and number two respectively in all death threats made against public figures in 2019. “Anyone who is a supporter of my father is a target,” Trump Jr. wrote. He named a few who had been targeted, including Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and his aide Sergio Gor; Representative Steve Scalise and others who had been injured in the 2017 baseball field shooting assault; his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle; his brother Eric Trump and his sister Ivanka; former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen; former spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders; high-ranking policy aide Stephen Miller; Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell; and Vice President Mike Pence.”
“After the 2016 election, I was the guy who received the second-highest number of death threats in the United States,” Trump Jr. continued. “This was according to the Secret Service, and it was second only to my father.”
Donald Trump Jr. didn’t just stop at commenting on it for an interview, however. He actually detailed just how difficult these endless threats had been in his new book, “Triggered.”
“These people have become so hysterical, irrational, upset, aggressive, and out looking for enemies. I should know,” he wrote. “Apart from my father, I was their top target.”

There are now riots in Portland, the whole state of Missouri, and even in Plano, TX that continue to rage on, and even though the Trump family is no longer in office the hatred doesn’t seem to be dissipating at all. This is probably due to the fact that President Trump has continued to be active as an ex-president, with him and his children supporting many of the efforts of the GOP and trying to help their outcome in the 2022 mid-term elections.
When you consider that we are in the midst of a Cold Civil War in this country, it is paramount that President Trump and his family have as much security as possible. Isn’t it obvious why some of these Democrats are upset that he still has it? All I have to say is that it’s a good thing they are an independently wealthy family, because six months is more than enough time for them to make their own arrangements for security.
