One of the founders of the Black Lives Matter movement just might be exploiting her fifteen minutes of fame in order to purchase herself a home in an exclusive, majority-white neighborhood. At a cool $1.4 million dollars, this home is in a secluded part of Los Angeles. Patrisse Khan-Cullors, 37, is a self-described Marxist, and this area of Los Angeles only has about a 2% population of Black people. AND this isn’t the only home that Khan-Cullors has either. The woman has bought three other properties in the last few years, including a $500,000 three-bedroom home in Inglewood, a four-bedroom home in Southern Los Angeles for $590,000, and a “custom ranch” in Conyers, Georgia in the $400,000 range.
Cullors might be a Marxist, but she certainly isn’t living out her ideology. Thus, she was attacked from both sides of the aisle regarding her hypocrisy.
Hawk Newsome is the head of the Black Lives Matter Greater New York City chapter, and so he is probably no friend of conservative thought. However, even he thinks there should be a probe into Cullors’ finances. “If you are going to go around and call yourself a socialist, that’s all well and good, but you would have to ask yourself how much of this woman’s own personal money is going to charitable causes,” Newsome said.
According to the Associated Press, Black Lives Matter drew in about $90 million in donations in 2020. BLM has some very opaque finances, so it isn’t certain how Cullors is paid by this organization.
However she might be paid, there were several people who got their digs in against her. Some of the biggest hits were from those on the right, particularly from black conservatives. Indeed, there was a tweet that was removed for “violating Twitter rules” by Outkick’s Jason Whitlock where he commented, “Black Lives Matter founder has just bought a $1.4 million home in the Topanga neighborhood, with a black population of just 1.4%. She’s with her people!”
Jamil Jivani is known as the founder of the Policing Literary Initiative, and he replied to Whitlock’s tweet before it was taken down: “It’s hard to believe just how badly some people have gotten played by BLM. Wow.”
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time that Jason Whitlock has called out the Black Lives Matter organization. Back in January, he compared ANTIFA and BLM to the Ku Klux Klan, and said they are kind of like the current “enforcement arm” of the Democrat Party.
Furthermore, Whitlock has also talked to Fox News Host Tucker Carlson. Tucker asked him, “You noted that the BLM movement has really took over a significant portion of the country. It seems that it is funded by our most powerful corporations over the summer. This is absolutely a political movement, so why don’t you put it in context for us. What would you compare this movement to?”
“Well, I would have to compare Black Lives Matter to the KKK. I really would,” Whitlock responded. “Some people might not understand it, but going all the way back to the 1860s and right after the Emancipation Proclamation, they started the KKK. It was the enforcement arm of the Democratic Party. What do you think is the enforcement arm of the Democratic Party today? That’s right, Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA. They come to your home, they will violate it, and they will intimidate you if you disagree with their political objectives.”
“Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization,” he continued. “Marxism is hostile towards religion; that’s why it’s a good thing we went here in this conversation today. These atheist values are being expressed from our leaders, and they are demonizing individual citizens in America. They will brand people as white supremacists because they decided that they disagree with their opinion on something. This is total lunacy, and it is very dangerous.”
What it Boils Down To
If Patrisse Khan-Cullors really is a Marxist as she claims to be, she wouldn’t have enough to own four homes throughout the United States. True Marxists would redistribute their money to the poor. Could it be that Cullors is in fact a race hustler and a grifter who is only doing it for the money? It sure seems that way.
