We live in a time and place where for the most part, the days of someone being in a position of power no longer allows them to sexually harass people and get away with it.
Personally, I never understood the idea that some guys have where they think that saying some horribly offensive stuff to a woman is going to get them in good with the woman. I mean really, what makes someone think that?
Anyway, the worst is when you have someone in power that tries to get someone to sleep with them and they make the person think that it is their job to do it solely for the fact that this person is in power. Democrats have been guilty of this for a good long time.
Instead of simply removing a prominent Democrat from office for ‘credible allegations,’ the Democrat Party is coddling him by only removing some of his authority.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is responsible for the deaths of more than ten thousand elderly nursing home residents in his state, but the left doesn’t care. What they do care about is #MeToo. Whether it was planned or not, Democrats have found a way to get rid of Cuomo before his horrific COVID policy brings scrutiny on other Democrat-run states and cities.
As The GOP Times previously reported, “Two former staffers, including Karen Hinton, [New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio‘s] former press secretary, have come forward to accuse Cuomo of sexual harassment and bullying.”
“Gov. Andrew Cuomo has created a culture within his administration where sexual harassment and bullying is so pervasive it is not only condoned but expected,” said Lindsey Boylan, a former top aide to the governor.
Boylan has accused Cuomo of multiple acts of sexual harassment, including inviting her to play strip poker, and repeatedly touching her lower back and legs.
Democrats have begun to turn on Cuomo after these allegations were made public. “This kind of behavior, if it’s true, is unacceptable in any public servant, in anybody. So, we’ve got to get the truth about this,” said Mayor de Blasio.
Most rational people would expect calls for Cuomo’s resignation after the nursing home scandal and the new sexual harassment allegations. Unfortunately, they would be wrong. Instead, state Democrats are letting him keep his position with just a slap on the wrist.
