Somehow, Disney Has Found A Way To CANCEL KERMIT THE FROG!

It seems that people weren’t as easily offended by absolutely everything back in the day. Now, it seems that you have to make sure that nobody is offended by anything you do.

I have a friend who is a comedian that lays more towards the center on most political issues who talks with me all of the time about how hard it is now to do anything really biting in terms of material because someone will end up getting “offended” by everything you say.

It would be like if you had a bad meal at a place and decided to burn the joint to the ground instead of just never going there again.

Hell, the movie Airport has an open conversation about a woman traveling to get an abortion and that had a G rating. It just shows you how far down the rabbit hole we have gone in terms of being offended by everything. Nobody cares about the context anymore.

Disney has decided that “The Muppet Show” — featuring Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear and Miss Piggy — contains “offensive content” and can now be seen only on an adult account.

When viewers open the streaming service, which made five series available last Friday, viewers are greeted with the disclaimer: “This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now,” The Daily Mail reported.

“Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together. Disney is committed to creating stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience around the globe,” the statement says.

Said the Mail: “The warning is believed to refer to Muppet characters designed as stereotypes of Native Americans, Arabs and East Asians.”

Twitter users blasted the move. “Nothing screams offensive like fury puppets. When I think of a cultural danger to society, it’s obviously Jim Henson’s Muppets,” wrote one.

Another Twitterer warned the cancel culture will soon target another famous muppet.

“I’m surprised the internet hasn’t tried Cancelling the Muppets’ Swedish Chef yet, since every and any thing is offensive now,” wrote the user.
