I don’t get the tendency of some people to want to be violent over a political disagreement.
I have had friends that have voted for people that I didn’t vote for, but that certainly didn’t keep us from being friends.
As a matter of fact, the small Trump yard sign that I had got messed with by some kids while I was out of the house a month or two ago and my next-door neighbor was the first one to come and tell the kids to get the hell out of my yard. He had to walk past his Biden sign to do it. Not everyone gets violent, but so many of them do that it’s hard to find the people that don’t.
Those of us who support President Trump are well aware that the media does not show its viewers, readers or listeners what is actually happening.
Rather they show them a narrative which furthers the agenda of that media outlet. Here at Illicit Info we are up front about trying to persuade our readers to see the world as we see it. In our minds, this is what makes us different than CNN, MSNBC, or, up until recently, Fox News.
While these media outlets tell you they are ‘fair and balanced’ or unbiased, we all know that is not the case, they all have a slant. At II, on the other hand, we are conservatives and libertarians, who want to see more individual liberty, more local control over politics (less globalism) and less governmental control over all.
One thing we really do not like is censorship. Perhaps the only thing worse than censorship itself, is the use of violence to stop people from speaking. We have seen this play out over and over again with radical leftist groups, dressed in all black, attacking people, preventing them from (or intimidating them from) speaking. All because their political aims are different then theirs.
When we tell our Democrats friends about our concerns with this behavior, they laugh at us and call us ‘conspiracy theorists’ because the media outlets they chose to consume refuse to show these events. Now, even Fox News is calling out the media is their failure to adequately cover the violence that innocent Trump supporters faced after the MAGA Million March in DC.
Fox News reported: ‘Conservatives criticized members of the media for failing to cover violence against President Trump’s supporters at the so-called Million MAGA March in Washington, D.C., on Saturday.
“I want to hear Joe Biden and Kamala Harris condemn Antifa/BLM criminals who assaulted and harassed peaceful demonstrators in DC today, including elderly and families,” political strategist Doug Stafford wrote on Twitter on Saturday. “Of course they won’t. And ‘media’ won’t make them.”
