If You See Someone Doing This At The Grocery Store, Stop And Call Police Immediately

A man is now in custody after he was caught spraying a substance onto food in a produce section of a Michigan grocery store. CNN reported that 15 stores, including a Whole Foods and a Kroger in Ann Arbor, Flint, Midland, Birch Run and Saline may have been affected by a targeted attack.

The FBI stated that the suspect admitted to spraying a poisonous mixture of water, hand sanitizer and mice poison onto produce in three stores within the past two weeks. Detectives are working to determine exactly which stores have been affected.

Targeted stores immediately disposed of their produce and shut down fresh food sections. Officials told consumers to discard any food from salad or ready-to-eat areas that were purchased from affected stores between mid-March through the end of April.

The unnamed man is facing four felony counts of poisoning food.

Although illness has not been reported, Dr. Eden Wells, Chief Medical Executive for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services stated, “While the risk for adverse health effects appears to be low, more investigation is being done to determine what level of exposure may have occurred.”

Who knows how old it is. The story is talking about this happening in March thru April, and I believe it’s only February right now. Are you short on disturbing stuff to report on?

Well, I missed the original article and I’m appalled that ANYONE could do such a thing! It’s worth repeating because this isn’t the ONLY crazy out there! ALWAYS rinse fresh foods thoroughly before using them. I rinse several minutes. Just place them in a colander and turn on the sprayer. Pastries, pies, cakes and ready-to-eat should only be used if they are completely sealed. If you don’t feel resistance and hear a ‘pop’ from a seal being broken, when opening anything with a lid, DON’T USE IT. Always be cautious, check sealed items and I always prefer ‘pills’ rather than ‘capsules’ whenever possible… harder to tamper with.
