There are some people that quit their jobs for nothing more than the fact that they are lazy and then there are some people who can’t take a toxic work environment anymore. Then you get the odd person that wins the lottery.

Case in point, there was a fellow that lived in Michigan who won the state lottery many years ago when it was something like fifteen or twenty million dollars. It was a life changing amount for this guy.

The day before he realized he won the lottery he was on a lunch break and all he had was a fifty dollar bill in his pocket for lunch. The cashier couldn’t make change and he said that he bought a ten dollar lunch and the rest in tickets for that evening’s lottery drawing.

He tossed the tickets into the glove box of his work truck. He’s sitting eating breakfast with his wife the next morning and she’s reading the paper. He goes out to the truck to get the tickets and hands them to his wife as he is getting ready to leave for the day. He’s about ready to pull out of the driveway when his wife runs out and says that they won the lottery.

They both recheck the ticket, and call the lottery office to make sure that they had the right numbers. Once they realize that they now had the winning ticket he called his boss and said he wasn’t coming in. His boss reportedly asked when he was coming in again he told him….never, won the lottery.
