In most major cities there have traditionally been more than one newspaper and almost always more than one television station.
It’s because each organization will try to present a side and people will gravitate towards the side that they agree with.
Now, logical thinking people will want to side with the truth as much as humanly possible. They’re not the type of people that will watch CNN.
Personally I am beginning to think that most of the reason why CNN has any ratings at all is because it seems to be on every television of every airport in the United States.
If you really examined the thread of how CNN has been leaning towards liberal nonsense the past few years it is not all that hard to see how they are losing people hand over fist.
The organizations that are actually bothering to report on facts and the truth are the ones that seem to be reaping the benefits from this while CNN is losing to reruns of cartoons.
According to a Fox News news release, the network “marked its highest-rated year in primetime in its 22-year history with 2.5 million total viewers and finished the year as the most-watched basic cable network for the third consecutive year in both primetime and total day (1.4 million) among total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.”
In particular, Sean Hannity’s eponymous show dominated the landscape with 3.3 million viewers. “Hannity” finished as the top program in all of cable news.
In upscale cable rankings, or households with a total income in excess of $100,000, Fox News was tops in weekday viewing.
In terms of demographics, Fox News captured virtually all of the most important age groups.
It was No. 1 in the 25-54 and 35-64 age demographics, and in the much-coveted 18-49 demographic, Fox News was “only slightly behind” ESPN.
If I walk into a restaurant and they have CNN or MSNBC on the television I turn around and back out. Maybe a little extreme, but that’s how strongly I feel about it.
