WOW! Ted Cruz Has BRILLIANT IDEA To Pay For The Wall That Costs Taxpayers Absolutely Nothing!

Of the many ways that we could get the border wall funded we have to think of some out of the box ways that might not have to necessarily require congressional approval.

Ted Cruz has an idea that in some respect I have seen in practice on a much small scale before and I have to say that it worked.

As anyone that has been in the military knows the MWR fund that a command or duty station gets might not ever get all of the money that it was hoping it would get so sometimes it would not get all of the things that it would like to get in terms of recreational items for the people stationed at that particular command.

Then you would have someone that would be the subject of a nonjudicial punishment where part of the punishment would be that they forfeit half of their pay for two months. They military just didn’t take that money back. They would give it to the command’s MWR fund and tell them to go buy some of the things that they needed.

Via 100 Percent Fed Up:

Senator Ted Cruz just came up with a brilliant idea for how to fund the border wall.

It would cost taxpayers nothing and would be a great use of money that just so happened to be in the hands of a drug dealer.

With drugs flooding into the US at our border, the border wall funded by someone who actually used our border to deal drugs would be the ultimate in irony.

We’re talking about $14 billion!

American Thinker reports: It is legislation introduced by Sen.Ted Cruz of Texas last year — the Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order (E.L.C.H.A.P.O.) Act which would use fund confiscated from drug dealers like El Chapo and traffickers to pay for border security. As Cruz explained after introducing his bill in April of 2017:

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced a bill calling for the use of $14 billion seized from cartel drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman to be used to pay for the President’s border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

“Fourteen billion dollars will go a long way toward building a wall that will keep Americans safe and hinder the illegal flow of drugs, weapons, and individuals across our southern border.”

The Texas senator said that leveraging criminally forfeited assets from El Chapo and other Mexican cartel members and drug dealers can “offset the wall’s cost and make meaningful progress toward achieving President Trump’s stated border security objectives.”

This is a smart solution to a big problem.
