Liberal politicians, liberal media people and their allies who spend every waking minute of the day trying to come up with “gotcha” scenarios for conservatives are hypocrites of the highest possible order.
Earlier in the week former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was sentences by a judge in New York to three years in a federal prison for the eight counts that were brought by the U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York.
Aside from the campaign finance violations that they claim that Cohen committed, Cohen will also be serving a Mueller Special at the same time, a two month sentence for lying to Congress after he had to wade through a river of gotcha questions under they managed to find something that stuck.
President Trump asserted Wednesday that former attorney Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to violations of campaign law which aren’t crimes.
“Michael Cohen plead guilty to two counts of campaign finance violations that are not a crime,” Mr. Trump tweeted. “President Obama had a big campaign finance violation and it was easily settled!”
Mr. Trump has publicly explained the payment to Ms. Daniels as a personal transaction. If it is a campaign expense, he said, it’s only because Cohen bungled it.
Michael Cohen’s campaign finance violation seems like small potatoes next to President Obama’s 2008 campaign violations—so, why is the press not bringing up how Obama’s campaign was able to skate after they paid a massive fine, and not a single person was prosecuted?
In January 2013, the Washington Post reported that President Obama’s campaign has agreed to pay a $375,000 fine to the Federal Election Commission, among the largest penalties in the agency’s history.
