Man Follows Planet Fitness Slogan And Strips Down During Yoga

A man from Massachusetts was caught naked in a Planet Fitness branch before starting his workout and thought he’d get away with it. The naked yogi tried to justify the gym’s slogan and considers itself a “judgment-free zone,” officials said.

As hilarious as this sounds, the man was taken into custody without incident and charged with indecent exposure, lewdness and disorderly conduct.

Reports say, Plaistow Capt. Brett Morgan said police were dispatched to the Plaistow Planet Fitness branch after receiving a call from witnesses that summarily said in detail, “the guy walked in, stripped down right there in front, left the clothes and belongings at the front desk, walked back and forth across the gym a couple of times and then settled in over at the yoga mats.”

The Plaistow police captain added the 34-year-old, Eric Stagno from Haverhill, was in a “yoga-type pose” when the responding authorities arrived at the said Planet Fitness branch.

Eric Stagno justifies his actions and said he thought the gym was a “judgment-free zone,” apparently referencing Planet Fitness’ slogan.

Plaistow Planet Fitness was fairly crowded at the time of the incident, Plaistow Capt. Brett Morgan said, adding that the 34-year-old checked himself out in the mirror a couple times before heading to the yoga mats to proceed with his routine.

“Some of the comments some pf the witnesses gave were that they felt uncomfortable, disgusted, sick, and unsafe,” Plaistow Captain told the paper. “There were more witnesses coming forward than we could take names.”

Stagno could not be reached for comment, and his attorney could not be immediately identified – but according to official reports, Stagno was released on a $1,000 bail and was arraigned on the misdemeanor charges in the Plaistow Circuit Court last September 21, 2018.
