Nowadays, teenagers are more interested in social media. They are completely unaware of what’s going on in the world around them. But a 17-year-old teen made a difference after helped an elderly woman who was struggling at the Dollar Store.
Connie Belle Jenkins Sweet went to pick up some cleaning supplies from a Dollar General store in Griffin, Georgia, with her nephew, 17-year-old Senquavious Driver, when they spotted an elderly woman struggling to get out of her car. She succeeded but was having trouble walking.
Senquavious wasted no time coming to the rescue the 81-year-old woman.
The elderly woman nearly fell trying walk into the store, so the teen jumped out of the car without hesitation to help.
The 81-year-old explained that she’d recently fallen, hurting her back and face. So, Senquavious stayed with her the whole time, helping her get her shopping done and then saw her back to her car.
“He helped her in the store and shopped with her and he walked her back out to her car,” Sweet said. “She was only going in for a soda but she barely could even get in the store.”
As the kindhearted teen continue to help the woman, his aunt watched on, touched by her nephew’s compassion. She pulled out the camera on her phone and snapped away
“I was in tears taking pictures because he didn’t hesitate to help her, and that made my heart happy,” she said. “I’m so proud of him because I know and love the lady that raised him, my sissy.”
Connie proudly shared the photos of her nephew’s kind deed on Facebook with the caption, “I pray to God he continues to do great things in his life.”
The story went viral after it was shared on Facebook with many readers shared their thoughts.
