Street Kid Approaches Car To Beg For Money, Looks Inside And Bursts Into Tears.

John Thou lives in Nairobi City, which is among the cities with the most street children. So many children end up on the streets because their parents have died and they have no one to take care of them.

A young boy from Kenya has won hearts of many after he prayed for an ailing woman.

Some of children run away from abusive step parents, grandparents, or other relatives. In John’s case, he run away after his mom died and his dad was too abusive to him and his other siblings.

John lives temporarily on his grandmother, but his grandmother was already taking care of six grandchildren from an aunt who also passed away and an uncle who also abusing them. John has no other choice but to live on the streets to survive.

On Kenya, it is automatically labeled if children live on the streets it is thieves, misbehaved, and unclean. No one ever wants to associate with them, but John has shown that these poor views of street children are not entirely warranted.

One day, while John was asking money from the drivers of stop cars in traffic, he met a woman named Gladys Kamande. Gladys suffered with collapsed lungs causing shortness of breath. She constantly relies on an oxygen concentrator, oxygen cylinders, and a generator to breathe, carrying the supplies with her at all times.

Not only that, but the 32-year-old has gone through 12 surgeries; one surgery ruptured her optical nerve causing her to go blind.

John begins to be curios and ask what all of her gadgets were for. As Gladys explained her situation to him, John’s eyes flooded with tears. John began to cry, realizing that – as difficult as his life on the street may be– Gladys suffered more than him. John cried even harder as he realized there was nothing he could do for her.

John then took Glady’s hand and prayed that God would provide her all the treatment she needed. After that, he reached into his pocket and gave her what little money he had.

A passerby noticed the incident, took some photos, and shared it to social media. And within a few days, the story had gone viral and triggered a a chain of events that would change both John and Gladys’ lives forever.

After Gladys’ story spread, thousands of donations poured in. In total, kindhearted strangers contributed $80,000 to enable her to travel to India and receive treatment.

John’s life after the viral post has dramatically changed, he was finally rescued from the streets and adopted by Nissy Wambugu who gave him a loving home as well as good future.
