A video of hospital employees forcing newborn babies to dance and referring to them as “mini-Satans” has gone viral.
The incident took place at a naval hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
The images and videos were taken from Snapchat and posted on Facebook.com, where they were shared by hundreds of thousands of people before the hospital administration was notified.
In the video, a nurse can be seen holding a baby under its arms while she dances with the baby to the music of 50 cent’s “In Da Club”. The staff can be seen having fun with what she was doing while her co-staff who was recording the scene said “we are going to hell” while laughing.
According to Action News Jax, the baby in the video was only a few hours old at the time of the incident.
The staffs also uploaded a photo flashing a middle finger to one of the babies and captioned it: “”How I currently feel about these mini Satans.”
The video and photo have since gone viral, with viewers calling for action to be taken against those involved.
“We are aware of a video/ photo posted online,” Jeanne Casey, the Public Affairs Officer at Naval Hospital Jacksonville said in a statement. “It’s outrageous, unacceptable, incredibly unprofessional, and cannot be tolerated.”
“We have identified the staff members involved. They have been removed from patient care and they will be handled by the legal system and military justice.”
