Proving once again that the loony left can’t help shooting itself in the foot, Mark Zuckerberg’s open border group tried to make the case for legalizing illegals by saying that if DACA is cancelled 700,000 jobs to be filled by Americans would be created.
They contend that this is a problem. But is it really? If you look solely at the low unemployment rate, you could see that as possible, however, when you consider how many people got frustrated during the Obama years as he set out to destroy American jobs, you have to realize that we have millions of people who could reenter the workforce to take those jobs.
President Trump is in a position where he must end DACA after state AGs won a court decision that said Obama’s DAPA amnesty program was illegal. They are now threatening a lawsuit to do the same to DACA. They would surely win, so if Trump were to fight them, he would suffer another setback at a time he can ill afford one, especially on an issue conservatives hate.
His base is largely intact and he must keep it that way. The only decision left to him is whether to end it completely or to allow the illegals to keep their status until their two year work permit has expired. He could probably go either way with that without harming himself politically but he should just end it. After all, those who benefit from it and those who support it will never vote for ZTrump or any other true conservative anyway, so why not delight your base?
The study claims that on average, if Trump were to repeal DACA, 30,000 American job opportunities would open up each month. FWD.us President Todd Schulte touted the results of the study as a loss for America’s business community, saying it would have “severe consequences” on the economy.
“Eliminating DACA would have immediate and severe consequences for not only the 800,000 Dreamers enrolled in the program, but for the millions of Americans who live, work, and study with these young people every single day,” Schulte said in a statement.
Immigration hawks have long argued the booming illegal alien population–estimated between 12 to 30 million–and high levels of legal immigration, where the U.S. admits more than one million a year, contribute to the displacement of American workers and wage stagnation.
When Zuckerberg understands what his people just did with this report, heads could roll.
