Three Law Enforcement Officers Shot in Sacramento

Police are reporting that three officers were shot near the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Auburn Blvd in Sacramento  California in Sacramento County.  Two California State Troopers were observing two stolen cars, when they saw them being driven off.  They ran the cars down in Elk Grove.and arrested two women in connection with the case.  Afterwards, they returned to the Ramada Inn and went to the room the women had just left.  A suspect inside the room shot through the door, wounding the two state troopers. The suspect jumped into a car and led police on a chase that ended at Watt.

The local police were called in as backup and one of the officers covering the back traded shots with the suspect who was carrying a high powered rifle.  The officer was injured as well as the suspect.  All were taken to the hospital and their conditions are unknown as of this time.

 The suspect was then able to get into a car and led authorities on a chase down Fulton and El Camino Avenues before crashing near Watt.

The suspect then exchanged gunfire with authorities. He was hit by gunfire and was then taken into custody.

The three law enforcement officers and the suspect’s conditions are unknown. All have been taken to area hospitals.
