If you ever had any doubt before that Facebook was a shill for the left, get that idea out of your head right now. You only need to look at their past hires over the years to see they are deeply entrenched in a socialist agenda and many former leftist government employees have jumped to Facebook to help that along.
CBS News recently reported Facebook hired a former Hillary Clinton administration poster in an advisory roll to the social media empire.
Benenson was also a valuable member of the Obama administration.
They also hired former Obama administration’s David Plouff.
The Democratic consultant joins another Obama-era alum on the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative — President Obama’s senior adviser in the White House, David Plouffe.
Plouffe currently leads the initiatives’s policy and advocacy team, bringing along his experience as campaign manager for Mr. Obama’s 2008 run.
Adweek published, in 2011, that they previously also hired Obama administration heavy weight, Sarah Feinberg.
Facebook has hired Sarah Feinberg, a former special assistant to President Barack Obama, to join the company’s communications team in California.
Mike Allen of Politico sums up Feinberg’s political career thus far:
Previously, she served as special assistant to President Obama and senior advisor to former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Earlier, Feinberg was communications director for the House Democratic Caucus, press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and press secretary to former Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle.
CNN notes how many of Obama former staff have found jobs in social media giant companies.
The Obama alumni now form an influential network in Silicon Valley that stands out from the pack.
Ryan Metcalf, a former senior analyst in Obama’s White House who now works as chief of staff for PayPal cofounder Max Levchin, recalls showing up to his first meeting with Levchin wearing a flag lapel pin. “[Levchin] was like, ‘Who are you? What are you doing in my office? I don’t know if you’re trying to be my security.’ ”
And the link between leftist government has been strong for a while. Time notes how much past administrations have relied on social media to guide the inner workings of their administrations.
The Obama Administration has tapped another Silicon Valley techie to help the federal government navigate the digital world.
Facebook Engineering Director David Recordon is set to join the White House staff as the director of information technology, a new position created to upgrade technology at the White House. According to a White House blog post, Recordon will unite overlapping programs and ensure the government has the most up-to-date, secure equipment.
“His considerable private sector experience and ability to deploy the latest collaborative and communication technologies will be a great asset to our work on behalf of the American people,” President Obama said of Recordon in a statement.
So, if you have ever wondered why or how the left controls the narrative in America, this is certainly one way.
